Every ticker carries a Lift score from 0 to 100. No single factor can carry a name on its own — that's deliberate, because mention volume by itself is mostly noise.

Mention velocity Rate of change in posts per hour across Reddit, X and StockTwits — not raw volume. A ticker with steady chatter scores near zero here; one that tripled overnight scores high. weight 40%
Short interest Percent of float sold short, combined with the cost to borrow. Expensive borrow on a tight float is what turns attention into forced buying. weight 25%
Options skew Call volume against puts on near-dated strikes. Heavy short-dated call buying forces dealers to hedge, which shows up in the tape before it shows up in the news. weight 20%
Price momentum Five-day return relative to the ticker's sector, so a name isn't rewarded for simply moving with the market. weight 15%
